Goodness Gracious, Holy Cow....Molly Anna Is SIX Months Now!

Wow! Words can't even begin to express how exciting things are around here. Molly turned six months last Friday and she has come into her own!!! This is such an amazing and FUN stage/age.

Literally overnight she started cooing and saying blah, blah, goo, gee and more! We've heard a couple of mama's and dada's in there too. However, she "talks" now all day long. She no longer wakes up fussing in her crib, but rather babbling loudly. She also is very, very inquisitive. She is wanting to explore and touch and TASTE everything in her sight. Everything goes in the month!!! Her clasping reflex is really developing. She picks things up quite well and can throw thigns too. One of our favorite things to do is look at the Sunday circulars together. She loves crinkling and whacking at the paper and of course tasting the newsprint...which is a no no! We're trying to teach her to clap. She doesn't quite understand how to clap her hands together, so she just pats her hands on her knees. It's really cute!! We're hoping she'll get the hang of it before Clemson Football starts so she can cheer along with us! :) No teeth yet, but the entire bottom gum is white. We are expecting one to pop up at any moment. Molly is also starting to sit up on her own. She can't exactly pull herself up yet, but once she's sitting she can remain in the sitting position. Molly loves her solids. She is eating almost every food they make for babies. She absolutely hates meat, but loves the veggies and fruit. Her favorites are sweet potatoes (like mommy and daddy), squash, carrots, apples, bananas and peaches. She can also hold her own bottle now. What a big girl she is!!!

Six Month Check-Up: Another wonderful report from the doctor. Molly is right on target as for growth and development and petite! She is in the 25th percentile for her height/length and 49th for weight...weighing in at 14lb, 15 ounces. However, she is starting to really pack on the lbs. A new roll seems to magically appear almost every day.
